  1. The release is  literate and well written.
  2. Information is presented  that is newsworthy and factual. Hyperbole, cute spins and overt sales pitches are  usually unacceptable to media professionals.
  3. The content is relevant to the editor receiving it. Write a timely news release, about real newsworthy company events or  changes.
  4. The release is sent to  the appropriate journalists who would have an interest in receiving it. Unsolicited releases are often not effective. Media relations through personal contacts or a recognized, reputable agency works best.
